Metaphors and other figures of speech are most desirably used for they add beauty in the delivery of the descriptions. Why will you say, “Her eyes are beautiful” when you can better state it as, “Her diamond eyes sparkle and I can see a paradise when I look into them”?

However, the volume of all the flowery words might seem very heavy. So you must know when to be very detailed and when to be simple while making sure the statements does not remain so bare.
